Module Programming: 2.8L

If a 2.8L Controller was replaced, navigate to "Misc. Functions" and perform all applicable routines: 

NOTE:

The available routines may vary depending on model and year of vehicle.

  1. PCM/ECM Replaced
  2. ECU Replacement With Value Transfer - if the ECU to be replaced is still responsive
    NOTE:

    If the PCM/ECM data transfer is able to be completed, it may not be necessary to perform routines 6 - 8.

  3. ECU Replacement Without Value Transfer - if the ECU to be replaced is not responsive
  4. Check PCM VIN (to program the VIN to the new ECM)
  5. Program Variant Code
  6. Injector Quantity Adjustment
  7. Fuel Mean Value Adaptation Initialization (This routine should only be performed whenever all of the injectors have been replaced and the original ECM has been kept)  .
  8. IMA Rapid Calibration Test
