Switch, Speed Control: Description
The speed control switch (1) is located on the left stalk on the steering column. This switch has four push buttons and is used on all vehicles equipped with the speed control (also known as cruise control) system. The only visible components of the switch are the switch push and rotary buttons. The remainder of the switch including its mounting provisions and its electrical connection are concealed within the steering wheel.
The switch stalk and push buttons are constructed of molded plastic. Each selection has an International Control and Display Symbol graphics or text applied to it, which clearly identify the function of each selection.
The speed control switch cannot be adjusted or repaired. If any function of the switch is ineffective or damaged, the stalk unit must be replaced.
