Torque Specifications

TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS

DESCRIPTION N.m Ft. Lbs. In. Lbs. COMMENT
Heat Shield Bolts 9 7 -  
Intermediate Shaft Pinch Bolts 60 44 - Do NOT  reuse these fasteners. If removed, a new fastener must be installed and tightened to specifications.
Outer Tie Rod End Nut (Aluminum Knuckle) 30 + 180° 22 + 180° - Do NOT  reuse these fasteners. If removed, a new fastener must be installed and tightened to specifications.
Outer Tie Rod End Nut (Iron Knuckle) 25 + 185° 18 + 185° - Do NOT  reuse these fasteners. If removed, a new fastener must be installed and tightened to specifications.
Steering Column Bolts 22 16 -  
Steering Column Nuts 22 16 -  
Steering Gear Bolts 110 81 -  
Steering Wheel Nut 52 38 - Do NOT  reuse these fasteners. If removed, a new fastener must be installed and tightened to specifications.
Tie Rod Jam Nut 98 72 -
