Theory Of Operation

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2018 Jeep Grand Cherokee. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.

The Left and Right Headlamp Swiveling Motors are used to control the horizontal movement of the Front Headlamps. The Adaptive Front Lighting System (AFLS) Module controls these motors via a LIN BUS circuit. The Headlamp Swiveling Motors are integrated into both the Left and Right Headlamp Housings. If a motor is defective, the entire assembly must be replaced.
