Seat Massage Module

WARNING:

Disable the airbag system before attempting any component diagnosis or service of the front seats, when equipped with front seat air bags. Disconnect and isolate the negative battery (ground) cable, then wait two minutes for the airbag system capacitor to discharge before performing further diagnosis or service. This is the only sure way to disable the airbag system. Failure to follow these instructions may result in accidental airbag deployment and possible serious or fatal injury.

REMOVAL

  1. Remove the seat from the vehicle. Refer to SEAT, FRONT, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION or SEAT, SECOND ROW, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION or SEAT, THIRD ROW, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
  2. Remove seat back cover. Refer to PANEL, SEAT BACK, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
  3. Remove headrest and sleeves. Refer to SLEEVE, HEADREST, FRONT, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
  4. Remove seat back cushion. Refer to COVER, SEAT BACK, FRONT, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION or COVER, SEAT BACK, SECOND ROW, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION or COVER, SEAT BACK, THIRD ROW, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .

    1 - Upper Retainer
    2 - Hose Connection
    3 - Pump
    4 - Wire Harness Connectors
    5 - Fastener
    6 - Hose Connection
  5. Remove the wire harness connectors, and hose connections as equipped.
  6. Remove the fastener and release pump from frame.
  7. Release the upper retainers.
  8. Remove the seat massage module assembly from the seat back.

INSTALLATION 

Follow the removal procedure in reverse for general reassembly of the components on the vehicle.
