The Brake System Control Module (BSCM) receives outputs from each of the four Wheel Speed Sensors (WSS). The wheel speed sensors are a two-wire sensor that are known as active wheel speed sensors. The sensors convert wheel speed into a small digital signal sent to the BSCM. A tone wheel serves as the trigger mechanism for each sensor. At each wheel of the vehicle there is one wheel speed sensor and one tone wheel. The air gaps between the wheel speed sensors and the tone wheels are not adjustable.
