Module, Air Suspension Control (ASCM): Operation

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2018 Jeep Grand Cherokee. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
NOTE:

If the Air Suspension Control Module (ASCM) is replaced it must be initialized using the scan tool.

The ASCM battery positive voltage is received from a 20 amp Fuse (shared with another ECU) - located in the PDC on the right side of the engine. Multiple modules work together to increase vehicle stability and traction along with vehicle ride height. The ASCM uses several Controller Area Network (CAN) data bus systems for inputs and outputs of the information necessary for the different systems to operate. The use of a scan tool is necessary for diagnostics, and replacement of the ASCM (or any pressurized components of the system). For more information on the air suspension system and. Refer to AIR SUSPENSION, DESCRIPTION . Refer to AIR SUSPENSION, OPERATION .
