Terrain Select Switch
WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2018 Jeep Grand Cherokee. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
The terrain select switch is used to communicate driver commands of various vehicle control systems related to vehicle ride height, traction, and stability control. The switch includes an Auto setting and a Neutral setting. The transfer case range select switch is hardwired directly to the IPC. The switch position is read by the IPC and is communicated to the BCM via the CAN-B bus. The BCM then rebroadcasts this information onto the CAN-C bus where the DTCM is a receiver.
