Removal - Module

  1. Disconnect and isolate the negative battery cable.
  2. Remove the glovebox and glovebox surround. Refer to GLOVE BOX, INSTRUMENT PANEL, REMOVAL .
  3. Carefully grasp the Emergency Assistance Module (EAM) bracket (1) and pull the bracket towards the rear of the vehicle, releasing the front clip retainers (3) from the instrument panel.
  4. Lower the EAM bracket (1) from the instrument panel by aligning the upper locating tabs (2) of the EAM bracket with the slots in the instrument panel, allowing the bracket and EAM to drop from the instrument panel.

  5. Disconnect the instrument panel wiring harness connector and antenna connectors (1) from the EAM.
  6. Remove the four screws (2) from the EAM mounting bracket that secure the EAM (3) to the bracket.
  7. Remove the EAM (3) from the vehicle.
