Module, Keyless Ignition Node (Kin): Removal

  1. Disconnect and isolate the negative battery cable.
  2. Remove instrument panel center bezel. Refer to BEZEL, INSTRUMENT PANEL, CENTER, REMOVAL .

  3. Using a trim stick or another suitable wide flat-bladed tool, disengage the snap clips that secure the molded hard plastic outer edges of the steering column gap hider bezel (1) to the instrument panel.

  4. Position the telematic steering column outward and slide the gap hider forward.

  5. Remove the two screws (1) that secure the bezel to the dashboard cover and remove the bezel.

  6. Disconnect the wire harness connector (1) for the Keyless Ignition Node (KIN) module.

  7. Remove the two screws (1) securing the KIN module to the bezel.
