Pump, Water: Installation: 5.7L/6.4L

NOTE:

5.7L shown in illustration. 6.4L similar.

Clean mating surfaces and install water pump (3). Tighten mounting bolts to the proper torque specification. Refer to TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS .
Install upper metal heater tube.
Install belt tensioner assembly (4). Refer to TENSIONER, BELT, INSTALLATION .
Install idler pulley (5).
Install the lower radiator hose.
Install serpentine belt. Refer to BELT, SERPENTINE, INSTALLATION .
Install the resonator mounting bracket.
Install the upper radiator hose to the thermostat housing (1).
Install the air intake assembly. For 5.7L, Refer to BODY, AIR CLEANER, INSTALLATION . For 6.4L, Refer to BODY, AIR CLEANER, INSTALLATION .
Connect negative battery cable.
Evacuate air and refill cooling system. Refer to STANDARD PROCEDURE .
Check cooling system for leaks. Refer to DIAGNOSIS AND TESTING .
