Module, Power Liftgate Control (PLGM): Installation
- Position the Power Liftgate Module (PLGM) (3) in the vehicle so that the housing engages the body panel and secure the latch feature (2) of the PLGM.
- Connect the wire harness connectors (1) to the PLGM connector receptacles.
- Install the left rear quarter trim panel. Refer to PANEL, QUARTER TRIM, INSTALLATION .
- Connect the negative battery cable. If equipped with an Intelligent Battery Sensor (IBS), connect the IBS connector.
- Perform the STANDARD PROCEDURE - POWER LIFTGATE LEARN/RELEARN PROCEDURE. Refer to MODULE, POWER LIFTGATE CONTROL (PLGM), MODULE PROGRAMMING .
NOTE:
If this Electronic Control Unit (ECU) is being replaced with a new unit, a diagnostic scan tool MUST be used to determine if alignment of the PROXI configuration data into the new ECU is needed. If PROXI alignment is needed, follow the routine outlined in the diagnostic scan tool for PROXI Configuration Alignment under the Body Control Module (BCM) Miscellaneous Functions menu.
