Diagnostic Test
CONTROL MODULE PROGRAMMING ERROR
NOTE:
Controller is programmed with outdated or generic software.
- With the scan tool, read and record the vehicle's controller part number.
- With the scan tool, select use Controller Part Number.
- Flash the controller with the correct software.
- Verify the controller flashed correctly.
Did the controller flash correctly?
Yes
- Perform the EPS VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to EPS VERIFICATION TEST .
No
- Replace the Electric Power Steering (EPS) Module in accordance with Service Information. Refer to GEAR, REMOVAL .
- Perform the EPS VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to EPS VERIFICATION TEST .
