2.0L Cooling System: Description: Notes

The cooling system regulates engine operating temperature. The engine cooling system and the turbocharger low temperature cooling systems are completely integrated and share a common coolant reservoir. The turbocharger utilizes a second Low Temperature Radiator (LTR) to help maintain operating temperature. It allows the engine to reach normal operating temperature, maintain normal operating temperature and prevent overheating. The cooling system also provides a means of heating the passenger compartment. The cooling system is pressurized and uses a centrifugal water pump to circulate coolant throughout the system. A separate and remotely mounted, coolant reservoir is used.
