Fan, Cooling: Installation

  1. Install the cooling fan (2) to the radiator and securely tighten the bolts (1).
  2. Install the upper radiator hose.
  3. Install the right and left air deflectors and fasteners.

  4. Install the upper core support (3) and tighten the six bolts (1, 2) to the proper torque specification. Refer to (TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS ).

  5. Install the upper radiator panel (2). Install and securely tighten the fasteners (1).

  6. Connect the ambient air temperature sensor wire harness connector (1).

  7. Install the wiring harness (1) and the wire harness retainers to the upper radiator panel (2).
  8. Connect the cooling fan module wiring harness connector.

  9. Attach the coolant hose (1) to the upper radiator panel (2).

  10. Install the turbocharger heat shield nut and stud (1) and tighten to the proper torque specification. Refer to (TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS ).

  11. Install the catalytic converter heat shield (2) and tighten the bolts (1) to the proper torque specification. Refer to (TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS ).
  12. Connect the upper oxygen sensor wire harness connector.
  13. Install the hood latch. Refer to LATCH, HOOD, INSTALLATION .
  14. Install the pressurized coolant bottle. Refer to INSTALLATION  .
  15. Connect the negative battery cable. If equipped with an Intelligent Battery Sensor (IBS), connect the IBS connector to the negative battery cable.
