Module, Electric Power Steering (EPS): Description

The Electric Power Steering (EPS) module is located in a power-pack that contains the motor, module and worm drive on the steering gear assembly. The steering system is fully electric, all of the power assist is provided via a Direct Current (DC) electric motor. This improves fuel economy, since there is no parasitic loss from a power steering pump, and reduces steering system-generated noise, and allows optimal tuning of feedback to the driver.
