Engine Block: FLEXPLATE: Removal

- Remove the transmission. Refer to REMOVAL .
- Install the (special tool #10272, Tool, Flywheel Locking) (1).
- Remove the bolts (2a) and remove the flexplate (2b).CAUTION:
Do not use an impact socket or a thick walled socket when removing or installing the flexplate retaining bolts, damage to the crankshaft, internal engine or the transmission may occur.
- Using a suitable tool clean all sealant from the bolt holes.
