Description And Operation: Operation

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2022 Chrysler Voyager and 2022 Chrysler Pacifica. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.

The Rear Cabin Comfort Controls (RCCC) for the rear A/C heating system allows the intermediate seat passengers the ability to regulate rear air temperature, rear outlet air direction and fan speed. In addition, the RCCC can be set to AUTO to allow the rear Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning (HVAC) module to control these settings automatically using the rear A/C system sensors and actuators.

The RCCC communicates with the rear HVAC module via the Controller Area Network - Interior High Speed (CAN-IHS). The RCCC receives fused B+ through a 10 amp fuse located in the Power Distribution Center. The RCCC ground wire is connected to the floor pan ground stud near the right side of the floor console support bracket. The RCCC is diagnosed using a scan tool. Refer to DIAGNOSTIC CODE INDEX .

Prior to replacing a RCCC, check for any Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs) related to the rear A/C heating system and run the calibration procedure to verify that the concern is not a calibration issue. Refer to STANDARD PROCEDURE .

The RCCC cannot be adjusted or repaired and must be replaced if inoperative or damaged. Refer to CONTROLS, REAR CABIN COMFORT (RCCC), REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION  .
