Diagnostic Test

  1. CHECK FOR AN ACTIVE DTC 
    1. With the scan tool, read ORC DTCs and record on the repair order.
    2. Record the Environmental Data.
    3. With the scan tool, erase DTCs.
    4. Using the recorded Environmental Data, along with the When Monitored and Set Conditions above, operate the vehicle in the conditions that set the DTC.
    5. With the scan tool, read ORC DTCs.

      Did the DTC return?

      Yes 

      • Go To  2

      No 

  2. CHECK THE OCCUPANT CLASSIFICATION MODULE PART NUMBER AND PROGRAMMING 
    1. Check the part number for the OCM to insure it is correct.
      NOTE:

      Use a diagnostic scan tool to access the OCM module and go to the MISCELLANEOUS FUNCTIONS menu function to perform the MODULE INITIALIZATION procedure to erase the fault and initialize the OCM.

    2. Perform the OCM Module Flash Programming procedure.

      Is the correct OCM in the vehicle and did the programming procedure complete 100%?

      Yes 

      No
