Module, Powertrain Control (Pcm): Installation: Diesel

1. Inspect the Powertrain Control Module (PCM) pins and connectors for any corrosion or damage. Repair as necessary.
2. Install and securely tighten the PCM (1) retaining bolts (2).

3. Connect the PCM wiring harness connectors (1 and 2).
4. Install the coolant recovery bottle. Refer to BOTTLE, COOLANT RECOVERY, INSTALLATION .
5. Connect the negative battery cable.
6. If installing a new PCM, use a scan tool and program the new PCM with the VIN and mileage of the vehicle. Refer to MODULE, POWERTRAIN CONTROL (PCM), MODULE PROGRAMMING .
