Diagnostic Test
- CHECK FOR AN ACTIVE DTC
- With the scan tool, read PAM DTCs and record on the repair order.
- With the scan tool, erase DTCs.
- Using the recorded Environmental Data, along with the When Monitored and Set Conditions above, operate the vehicle in the conditions that set the DTC.
- With the scan tool, read PAM DTCs.
Did the DTC return?
Yes
- Go To 2
No
- Perform the TESTING FOR AN INTERMITTENT CONDITION procedure. Refer to TESTING FOR AN INTERMITTENT CONDITION .
- CHECK THE ABM AND BCM FOR LOSS OF COMMUNICATION
- With the scan tool, communicate with the BCM AND ABM.
Is communication possible with the BCM AND ABM?
Yes
- Go To 3
No
- Perform the COMMUNICATION DIAGNOSTIC PROCEDURE. Refer to COMMUNICATION DIAGNOSTIC PROCEDURE .
- With the scan tool, communicate with the BCM AND ABM.
- CHECK THE DATA VALUES IN THE BCM AND PAM
- With the scan tool, communicate with the ABM and PAM and check for any missing, incorrect sensor, data values, or SNA (Signal Not Available) inputs.
Were there any problems found?
Yes
- Repair the missing or incorrect data values in the ABM.
- Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to BODY VERIFICATION TEST .
No
- Make sure that the BCM is fully up to date. If not, flash the BCM to most current update. If problem still exist, replace the BCM.
- Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to BODY VERIFICATION TEST .
- With the scan tool, communicate with the ABM and PAM and check for any missing, incorrect sensor, data values, or SNA (Signal Not Available) inputs.
