Diagnostic Test

  1. CHECK WIRING OF BODY CONTROL MODULE (BCM) AND GLOBAL TELEMATICS BOX MODULE (TBM2) 
    1. Disconnect the connectors of the BCM and of the TBM2. Check the connector status and ensure that the terminals are not damaged, deformed, corroded or disconnected.

      Are the connectors intact?

      Yes 

      • Go To  2

      No 

      • Repair or replace the damaged connector. End of diagnosis.
  2. CHECK THE BCM WIRING 
    1. Check for an open circuit or short circuit on CAN C wiring between BCM and TBM2 connectors.

      Is there an open circuit or short circuit?

      Yes 

      • Remove the open circuit or short circuit on the wiring. End of diagnosis.

      No 

      • Go To  3
  3. CHECK THE BCM POWER SUPPLY 
    1. Check the BCM power supply is correct.

      Is the power supply not correct?

      Yes 

      • Restore correct power supply. End of diagnosis.

      No 

      • Go To  4
  4. CHECK USING DIAGNOSIS EQUIPMENT 
    1. Connect the diagnostic tool to the TBM2 and update the software if a new version is available. Check whether the error is still present.

      Is the error still present?

      Yes 

      • Go To  5

      No 

      • End of diagnosis.
  5. CHECK BCM 
    1. Check that the BCM is working correctly.

      Is the Body Computer working correctly?

      Yes 

      • Go To  6

      No 

  6. CHECK TBM2 
    1. Check correct operation of the TBM2.

      Is the emergency call control module operating correctly?

      Yes 

      • End of diagnosis.

      No
