Removal And Installation: Installation

  1. Check that the sensor / radar is not damaged.
  2. Position adaptive cruise control module in the radar bezel and seat the tabs fully.
    NOTE:

    During assembly avoid applying pressure on the pins toward the inside of the component, since it may cause a partial detachment of the cover of the component.

  3. Position the adaptive cruise control module into the bracket and rotate until the top tab latches.
  4. Install the fasteners securing the adaptive cruise control module to the radar bracket and tighten securely.
  5. Install the fasteners securing the radar bracket to the front fascia and tighten securely.
  6. Connect the adaptive cruise control module wire harness connector.
  7. Install the front fascia. Refer to FASCIA, FRONT, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
  8. Connect the negative battery cable. If equipped with an Intelligent Battery Sensor (IBS), connect the IBS connector.
    NOTE:

    If this Electronic Control Unit (ECU) is being replaced with a new unit, a diagnostic scan tool MUST be used to determine if alignment of the PROXI configuration data into the new ECU is needed. If PROXI alignment is needed, follow the routine outlined in the diagnostic scan tool for PROXI Configuration Alignment under the Body Control Module (BCM) Miscellaneous Functions menu.

  9. Perform the calibration of the radar. Refer to MODULE, ADAPTIVE CRUISE CONTROL (ACC), MODULE PROGRAMMING .
