Removal And Installation

REMOVAL 

  1. Disconnect and isolate the negative battery cable. If equipped with an Intelligent Battery Sensor (IBS), disconnect the IBS connector first before disconnecting the negative battery cable.
  2. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to HOISTING, STANDARD PROCEDURE .
  3. Remove the left rear splash shield. Refer to SHIELD, SPLASH, REAR WHEELHOUSE, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .

  4. Disconnect the body wire harness connector (2) from the Fuel Pump Control Module (FPCM).
  5. Remove the fasteners (1) that secure the FPCM to the panel.
  6. Remove the FPCM from the vehicle.

INSTALLATION 

  1. Check that the FPCM is not damaged.
  2. Install the FPCM and securely tighten the fasteners.
  3. Connect the wire harness connector to the FPCM connector receptacle.
  4. Install the left rear splash shield. Refer to SHIELD, SPLASH, REAR WHEELHOUSE, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
  5. Connect the negative battery cable. If equipped with an IBS, connect the IBS connector.
  6. Remove the support and lower the vehicle.
