Fan, Cooling: Removal: 3.2L

  1. Disconnect and isolate the negative battery cable. If equipped with an Intelligent Battery Sensor (IBS), disconnect the IBS connector first before disconnecting the negative battery cable.
  2. Remove the pressurized coolant bottle. Refer to BOTTLE, PRESSURIZED COOLANT, REMOVAL .
  3. Remove the hood latch and cables. Refer to LATCH, HOOD, REMOVAL .

  4. Disconnect the ambient temperature sensor wire harness connector (1).

  5. Disconnect the cooling fan wiring harness connectors (3) and remove the wire harness (2) from upper radiator panel (1).

  6. Remove the screws (1) and the upper radiator panel (2).

  7. Remove the six bolts (1, 2) and the upper core support (3).

  8. Remove the upper radiator hose (1).

  9. Remove the right bolt (1) that secure the cooling fan to the radiator.

  10. Remove the left bolt (1) and the cooling fan (2) from the vehicle.
