Radiator, Engine Cooling: Installation: 3.2L

  1. If removed, position the cooling fan (2) to the radiator and tighten securely the fasteners (1).

  2. Lower the radiator (1) into position.

  3. Connect the lower radiator hose (3) to the radiator (2) and verify the quick connect (1) is properly secured.

  4. Connect the upper radiator hose (2) to the radiator (3) and correctly position the clamp (1).

  5. Verify that the radiator (1) is seated into the lower mounts (2).

  6. Install the upper radiator isolators (1) to the radiator (2) and position the radiator into the mount.

  7. Install the upper left side radiator mount cover (2) and tighten the fasteners (1) to the proper specifications. Refer to TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS - 3.2L  .

  8. Install the upper right side radiator mount cover (2) and tighten the fasteners (1) to the proper specifications. Refer to TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS - 3.2L  .

  9. Install the condenser and transmission oil cooler (2) to the radiator and tighten the fasteners (1) to the proper specifications. Refer to TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS - 3.2L  .

  10. Position the transmission cooler lines (1) and securely tighten the fastener (2).

  11. Install the right hood support bracket (1) and tighten the fasteners (2) securely.

  12. Install the left hood support bracket (1) and tighten the fasteners (2) securely.

  13. Install the left (2) and right (1) radiator closure panels.

  14. Connect the ambient temp sensor (1) attached to the left radiator closure panel.

  15. Install the upper radiator cover (2) and securely tighten the fasteners (1).

  16. Position the wire harness to the upper radiator cover (3).
  17. Connect the wire connector (2) and secure the wire harness retainers (1).
  18. Install the front facia. Refer to FASCIA, FRONT, INSTALLATION .
  19. Remove the support and lower the vehicle.
  20. Evacuate and fill the cooling system. Refer to STANDARD PROCEDURE  .
  21. Connect the negative battery cable. If equipped with an Intelligent Battery Sensor (IBS), connect the IBS connector.
