Theory Of Operation

The Steering Column Control Module (SCCM) is located at the end of the Steering Column, beneath the Steering Wheel. The SCCM includes the Clockspring, the Multifunction Switch and a LIN/CAN C Gateway. LIN Bus messages received by the SCCM are sent over the CAN C Bus to the appropriate modules.

The Steering Column Tilt Switch, if equipped, provides switch signals to the Steering Column Control Module (SCCM) in order to control the movement of the Steering Column.
