Fan, Cooling: Removal: 2.4L

  1. Disconnect and isolate the negative battery cable. If equipped with an Intelligent Battery Sensor (IBS), disconnect the IBS connector first before disconnecting the negative battery cable.
  2. Remove the pressurized coolant bottle. Refer to BOTTLE, PRESSURIZED COOLANT, REMOVAL .

  3. Remove the bolt (2), the two screws (3) and remove the resonator (1).

  4. Remove the two push-pins (2) and the air intake tube (1).
  5. Remove the hood latch and cables. Refer to LATCH, HOOD, REMOVAL .

  6. Disconnect the cooling fan module wire harness connector (2) and remove the wire harness (1) from upper radiator panel (3).

  7. Remove the screws (1) and the upper radiator panel (2).

  8. Remove the six bolts (1, 2) and the upper core support (3).

  9. Remove the upper radiator hose (1).

  10. Remove the bolts (1) and the cooling fan (2).
