Charging System (Service Information): Description

The charging system consists of the following components:

• Generator (1)
• Electronic Voltage Regulator (EVR) circuitry within the Powertrain Control Module (PCM)
• Ignition switch (refer to the Ignition System service information)
• Battery (refer to the Battery service information)
• Intelligent Battery Sensor (IBS)
• Inlet Air Temperature (calculated battery temperature) (If equipped)
• Voltmeter (refer to the Instrument Cluster service information) (If equipped)
• Wiring harness and connections (refer to the Wiring service information)
• Accessory drive belt (refer to the Cooling service information)
