Technical Data - PTU And RDM

Power Transfer Unit (PTU)  - The voltage values given below are taken with the ignition on and the engine not running.

Expected typical voltage readings on the PTU motor and position sensor circuits
CIRCUITS  TYPICAL VOLTAGE WITH MOTOR CONNECTOR UNPLUGGED  TYPICAL VOLTAGE WITH MOTOR CONNECTOR PLUGGED IN 
MOTOR (+) Approximately 9.9 volts Approximately 4.6 volts
MOTOR (-) Approximately 1.5 volts Approximately 4.6 volts
SENSOR SUPPLY Approximately 7.5 volts Approximately 4.0 volts
HALL EFFECT POSITION SENSOR SIGNALS 0 volts for both The position sensor voltage signals should be either approximately 1.6 volts or 5.3 volts depending on the motor position.
Both position sensor voltage signals should alternate between approximately 1.6v and 5.3v as the motor shaft rotates during a PTU shift between modes (2WD <-> AWD).

Rear Drive Module (RDM)  - The voltage values given below are taken with the ignition on and the engine not running.

Expected typical voltage readings on the RDM motor and position sensor circuits
CIRCUITS  TYPICAL VOLTAGE WITH MOTOR CONNECTOR UNPLUGGED  TYPICAL VOLTAGE WITH MOTOR CONNECTOR PLUGGED IN 
MOTOR (+) Approximately 9.9 volts Approximately 4.4 volts
MOTOR (-) Approximately 1.2 volts 0 volts
SENSOR SUPPLY 0 volts Approximately 7.5 volts
HALL EFFECT POSITION SENSOR SIGNALS 0 volts for both The position sensor voltage signals should be either approximately 1.6 volts or 5.3 volts depending on the motor position.
Both position sensor voltage signals should alternate between approximately 1.6v and 5.3v as the pulse width changes and the motor shaft rotates with the RDM clutch engaged.
