Removal And Installation: Installation

- Position the intermediate shaft (2) to the vehicle.
- Slide the intermediate shaft coupler over steering gear input shaft.
- Slide the intermediate shaft coupler over steering column output shaft.
- Install a NEW
intermediate shaft coupler pinch bolt (3) and tighten to the proper torque specification. Refer to TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
- Place the steering wheel in a position which allows access to the intermediate shaft coupler pinch bolt (1).
- Install a NEW
intermediate shaft coupler pinch bolt (1) and tighten to the proper torque specification. Refer to TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .

- Position the steering column (3) to the instrument panel.
- Install the two front steering column support bolts (2) and tighten them to the proper torque specification. Refer to TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
- Install the two rear steering column support nuts (1) and tighten them to the proper torque specification. Refer to TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
- Install the steering column opening cover. Refer to COVER, STEERING COLUMN OPENING, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION
