The PCM's roles is defined in alarm deactivation and activation. During key validation, if the PCM receives an electronic invalid key message from the BCM or the RFH, or receives no message from the BCM or the RFH over the CAN-C data bus, the alarm will continue in the active state. If the electronic valid key message is received, the PCM will allow the alarm system to disarm and the vehicle to start.
