The SCCM provides the ground sense to the BCM when the horn switch is pressed. The horn switch acquires the ground sense through the SCCM ground circuit. The horn switch passes the ground sense through the steering wheel wire harness back to the SCCM, which in turn provides the ground sense to the BCM through the steering column wire harness.
