Theory Of Operation

The Blind Spot Monitor (BSM) system used in this vehicle has two control modules. One control module is dedicated to each side of the vehicle. If the sensor detects a vehicle in the blind spot path, the module will send a driver signal to the corresponding mirror LED blind spot warning light. The Module monitors itself for any internal failures, CAN bus communication concerns, battery, system voltage, and any vehicle configuration concerns.
