Diagnostic Test
- READ AND RECORD DTCS AND ENVIRONMENTAL DATA - ERASE DTCS AND CHECK FOR DTC TO RETURN
- With the scan tool, read DTCs in all Electronic Control Units (ECU's) and record on the repair order.
- With the scan tool, run a vehicle Scan Report, or record the Environmental Data related to the DTCs.
- With the scan tool, erase all DTCs.
- Turn the ignition off for a minimum of 10 seconds.
- Turn the ignition on.
- Using the recorded Environmental Data and the When Monitored Conditions, operate the vehicle in the conditions that set the DTC.
- With the scan tool, read DTCs.
Did the DTC return?
Yes
- Go To Next Step.
No
- Perform the TESTING FOR AN INTERMITTENT CONDITION diagnostic procedure. Refer to: TESTING FOR AN INTERMITTENT CONDITION .
- INSPECT THE FRONT LONG RANGE CAMERA
- Inspect the Front Long Range Camera. Verify the following:
- Camera is not damaged, obscured or out of alignment
- No mud, dirt, ice or road debris are obstructing the camera
Were any problems found?
Yes
- Repair as necessary.
- Perform the Front Long Range Camera alignment procedure in accordance with the Service Information.
- Perform the DRIVER ASSISTANCE SYSTEM MODULE (DASM) VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to: DRIVER ASSISTANCE SYSTEM MODULE (DASM) VERIFICATION TEST .
No
- Go To Next Step.
- Inspect the Front Long Range Camera. Verify the following:
- PERFORM THE LONG RANGE CAMERA ALIGNMENT PROCEDURE - ERASE DTCS AND CHECK FOR DTC TO RETURN
- Perform the Long Range camera alignment procedure in accordance with the Service Information.
- With the scan tool, erase DTCs.
- Turn the ignition off for a minimum of 10 seconds.
- Turn the ignition on.
- Using the recorded Environmental Data and the When Monitored Conditions, operate the vehicle in the conditions that set the DTC.
- With the scan tool, read DTCs.
Did the DTC return?
Yes
- Replace the Front Long Range Camera in accordance with the Service Information.
- Perform the DRIVER ASSISTANCE SYSTEM MODULE (DASM) VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to: DRIVER ASSISTANCE SYSTEM MODULE (DASM) VERIFICATION TEST .
No
- Performing the alignment procedure corrected the condition.
- Perform the DRIVER ASSISTANCE SYSTEM MODULE (DASM) VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to: DRIVER ASSISTANCE SYSTEM MODULE (DASM) VERIFICATION TEST .
