RKE System: Notes

Following are tests that may help to diagnose the RKE system. However, these tests may not prove conclusive in the diagnosis of this system. The most reliable, efficient, and accurate means to diagnose the RKE system requires the use of a diagnostic scan tool and the appropriate diagnostic information. The diagnostic scan tool can provide confirmation that the Radio Frequency Hub (RF-Hub) is being sent the proper RF signals by the RKE transmitters to perform its RKE system functions.

Refer to the appropriate wiring information. The wiring information includes wiring diagrams, details of wire harness routing and retention, connector pin-out information and location views for the various wire harness connectors, splices and grounds.
