Z-Case Fuse Array

1 - Z-Case Fuse Array

The Z-case fuse array is connected to the Power Distribution Center (PDC) and is a serviced component. The following procedure details how to remove this component from the PDC.

REMOVAL 

  1. Disconnect and isolate the negative battery cable(s). Refer to: BATTERY DISCONNECT - DUAL 12 VOLT BATTERY SYSTEM .
  2. Remove the PDC cover by pressing inward on both latches located on the sides of the PDC.

  3. Disconnect and isolate the positive battery cable.

  4. Remove the remainder of the wire harness connection terminals on the PDC.

  5. If the Z-case fuse array will not lift out of the PDC then it is necessary to remove the PDC. Refer to CENTER, POWER DISTRIBUTION (PDC), REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
  6. Using a small flat blade flathead screwdriver, unlatch the Z-case fuse array from the PDC housing through the small slots on the bottom of the PDC housing and remove the Z-case fuse array.

INSTALLATION 

Follow the removal procedure in reverse for general reassembly of the components on the vehicle. The steps listed below are calling out specific procedures that should be followed during installation.
