Rear Drive Module Output Seal: Notes

REMOVAL

NOTE: Left side shown in the illustration, right side similar.

Remove the rear halfshaft. Refer to REAR HALFSHAFT, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
Remove the dust cover.

Carefully remove the oil seal.

INSTALLATION

NOTE: Use care when installing half shaft to axle assembly. The half shaft installation angle should be minimized to avoid damage to the seal upon installation.

Install a NEW oil seal.
Install a NEW dust cover.
Install the rear halfshaft. Refer to REAR HALFSHAFT, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
