DTCM Verification Test

NOTE: The DTCM learns the relative clutch position (Kisspoint) in order to adapt to normal wear of the clutch over its lifespan. If any clutch related components are replaced, the Kisspoint must be relearned by initiating a Non-Volatile Memory Reset (Clear T-Case Adaptives) with the scan tool.

DRIVETRAIN CONTROL MODULE (DTCM) VERIFICATION TEST 

NOTE:

If the DTCM, Powertrain Control Module (PCM), or Body Control Module (BCM) was replaced, refer to the Service Information for proper programming and alignment procedures. 

  1. Reinstall any removed components.
  2. Reconnect any disconnected electrical connectors.
  3. Be certain the battery is fully charged.
  4. With the scan tool, erase DTCs.
  5. Remove the scan tool from the Diagnostic Link Connector (DLC).
  6. Turn off all accessories.
  7. Turn the ignition off and close all doors. Wait 30 seconds.
  8. Operate the vehicle under the conditions that originally set the DTC or caused the symptom.
  9. With the scan tool, read DTCs.

    Are any DTC(s) or symptoms present?

    Yes 

    • Perform the related diagnostic procedure for the DTC(s) or symptom.

    No 

    • Test complete. To operate the Transfer Case in all possible modes of operation, perform the TRANSFER CASE VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to TRANSFER CASE VERIFICATION TEST .
