Spark Plug: Service and Repair

REMOVAL INSTALLATION
1. Remove and install the spark plug wires carefully.

CAUTION: When the spark plug lead is to be pulled off, pull the boot itself, not the wire.

2. Remove and install the spark plug with a plug socket.

NOTICE: Be sure the socket is fitted squarely over the spark plug.

3. Apply anti-seize compound or molybdenum-based lubricant to the spark plug threads.
4. Tighten the spark plug to the specified torque.

Tightening torque: 11 - 17 ft lb (15 - 23 Nm)

Plug Gap: 0.039 - 0.043 Inch (1.0 - 1.1 mm)
