Keyless Entry - RKE Programming

TITLE: Remote Keyless Entry Programming

APPLIES TO: Sedona

SERVICE TIP:

The Sedona Service Manual incorrectly identifies the programming terminals at the under-hood diagnostic connector, therefore the following programming procedure should be followed.

Note: At this time only one remote can be programmed into the RKE memory; attempting to program a second remote will cancel the original.






1. Open hood and locate diagnostic connector near battery.
2. Jump pin 5 to pin 17.
3. Turn ignition switch to the on position.
4. Press LOCK button of transmitter two times.
5. Turn ignition OFF and remove key.
6. Disconnect jumper from diagnostic connector.
7. Check for lock and unlock operation, horn will operate when locking.
