General Information: DTC Detecting Condition

DTC DETECTING CONDITION AND POSSIBLE CAUSES

Item Detecting Condition Possible Cause
DTC Strategy
  • Circuit low voltage
  • Short to ground in signal harness
  • Contact resistance in connectors
  • Faulty Heated O2 Sensor (HO2S))
Enable Conditions
  • Catalyst temperature model > 400°C (752°F)
  • Lambda regulation active
  • Lambda controller not on the limit
  • Stable driving condition
  • Canister purge after fuel cut off not active
  • No relevant failure
  • Battery voltage > 10V
 
Threshold Value
  • Sensor voltage < 0.02V and element resistance < 20Ω
Diagnostic Time
  • 40 sec. Continuous
