Signal Circuit Inspection

Check for Short to Ground in Harness 

  1. IG KEY: OFF, Engine: OFF
  2. Disconnect TPS connector (B-13).
  3. Measure resistance between terminal 3 of the TPS harness connector B-13 and chassis ground.
    1. Specification: infinite (infinite Ω)

  4. Is the resistance near the specified value?

    YES

    1. Go to "Check for Open in Harness" procedure.

    NO

    1. Repair as necessary and go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR " procedure.

Check for Open in Harness 

  1. IG KEY: OFF, Engine: OFF
  2. Disconnect TPS connector (B-13) and ECM connector.
  3. Measure resistance between terminal 3 of the TPS harness connector B-13 and C9 of the ECM harness connector B-01.
    1. Specification: Approx. 0Ω.

  4. Is the resistance near the specified value?

    YES

    1. Go to "COMPONENT INSPECTION " procedure.

    NO

    1. Repair as necessary and go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR " procedure.
