Component Inspection

Check OCV.

IG "OFF"
Disconnect OCV connector.

Measure resistance between terminal 1 and 2 of OCV harness connector. (Component Side)

RESISTANCE SPECIFICATION

Temp.	Coil Resistance
20 °C (68° F)	6.9 - 7.9Ω

Is the measured resistance within specification ?
YES
- Substitute with a known - good ECM/PCM and check for proper operation.
NOTE: There is a memory reset function on scantool that can erase optional parts automatically detected and memorized by ECM/PCM.
Before or after testing ECM/PCM on the vehicle, use this function to reuse the ECM/PCM.
- If the problem is corrected, replace ECM/PCM and go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR " procedure.
NO
- Substitute with a known - good OCV and check for proper operation.
- If the problem is corrected, replace OCV and go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR " procedure.
