General Information: General Description

The Variable Charge Motion Actuator (VCMA) is used for adjusting the intake flap, and it is operated in two positions: opened and closed. It creates a swirl of the intake air to reduce emissions under cold start condition. This is a worm-gear-driver type actuator, which does not guarantee restoring to limp home mode position if loss of current supply occurs (the actuator does not have any mechanical return force since there is no return spring).
