Component Inspection

  1. IG OFF.
  2. Disconnect the Fuel Pressure Regulator Valve (FPR) connector.
  3. Connect probes to each terminal of FPR connector.
  4. Measure FPR resistance.

    Specification :  Approx. 5Ω

  5. Is the measured resistance within specifications?

    YES 

    • Check for poor connection between PCM and component:

    Backed out terminal, improper mating, broken locks or poor terminal to wire connection.

    Repair as necessary and go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR " procedure.

    NO 

    • Substitute with a known-good component and check for proper operation.

If the problem is corrected, replace the component and then go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR " procedure.
