SYMPTOM

Difficulty programming SMK because the vehicle won't power up.

REPAIR

When programming a new Smart Key Module (SMK) and the vehicle will not power up, supply battery voltage to pins 1, 2, and 3 of connector I/P-C at the IPM (refer to image). This will get the vehicle into KOEO status and allow for programming of the SMK and the new FOBs. For further information, follow the programming procedure outlined in TSB GEN 048.
