General Information: General Description

RAM is a component of BCM that consists of DDM, ADM, IPM, FAM, IMS and cluster module. Each part of BCM is connected to one another through CAN communication line for efficient communication. Those modules control front/rear, driver/passenger seat, cluster with electrical signal and they share information with other modules. Rear Area Module (RAM) set up at rear-left of passenger room controls various rear lamps (tail lamp, rear turn signal lamp, backup lamp, stop lamp, cabin lamp), window (sliding door power window, quarter glass, rear defogger), rear wiper and oil cap door. Received inhibitor switch (A/T : Backup lamp) signal from IPM through CAN line, RAM controls backup lamp. IPS is a semi-conductor element which performs roles of fuse and relay. In addition to those roles, it performs sensing circuit error, circuit protection.
