DTC Information: DTC Detecting Condition

Item Detecting Condition Possible Cause
DTC Strategy
  • Multiple Misfire
  1. Poor connection
  2. Ignition system
  3. Fuel system
  4. Intake/exhaust air system
  5. Ignition timing
  6. Injector
  7. Bad quality fuel
Case 1 Enable Conditions
  • Engine speed greater than 510 rpm and less than 6500 rpm
  • Engine load greater than Zero torque
  • Time after engine start greater than 0 sec
  • ECT at starting below -7°C (19.4 °F) greater than 21 °C (69.8 ° F), Else ECT equal to or greater than -7 °C (19.4 °F)
  • No rough road detection
  • Remark: (Rough Road Condition Check) Wheel acceleration less than 30~40 m/s
Threshold Value
  • Misfire rate greater than 3.0% per 1000 rev.
Diagnostic Time
  • 1000 rev.
MIL ON Condition
  • 2 driving cycle
Case 2 Enable Conditions
  • Engine speed greater than 510 rpm and less than 6500 rpm
  • Engine load greater than Zero torque
  • Time after engine start greater than 0 sec
  • ECT at starting greater than -10 °C (14 °F)
Threshold Value
  • Catalyst temperature over 1050 °C (1922 °F) greater than 6~20%
Diagnostic Time
  • 200 rev.
MIL ON Condition
  • 1 driving cycle
