Component Inspection

Camshaft and crankshaft alignment check (Exhaust)
1. IG "OFF".
2. Select "Oscilloscope" in the menu.
3. Connect Channel A positive probe to Pin No. 2 (Signal B) and Channel A negative probe to Pin No. 1 (Signal A) on the CKPS connector.
4. Connect Channel B to Pin No. 2 (Signal) terminal of CMPS-EX harness connector and chassis ground.
5. Engine start. And check the signal waveforms.
  Specification:
  
  CKPS & CMPS (Intake side) synchronization - There are about 4~5 teeth between the CKPS missing tooth and CMPS signal.

  A: CKPS & CMPS (Intake side) synchronization - There are about 4~5 teeth between the CKPS missing tooth and CMPS signal.
6. Does the CKPS & CMPS (Intake side) synchronize properly? (Check variation)
  YES
  - Go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR " procedure.
  NO
  - Carefully re-do this troubleshooting guide steps.
  - If problem still occurs, replace CMPS-IN and then go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR " procedure.
